StoryTraining: Selecting and Shaping Stories That Connect
You can tell a story, and you can teach a course. But, do you know how to effectively facilitate learning with stories? In this session, you'll learn how to mine your experiences for relevant stories and how to select and shape those stories to facilitate connections for learners. Finally, you'll explore how to share these stories using four principles that will help you bring stories to life and encourage learners to tell their own stories.
After this learning experience, participants will be able to:
- Describe the benefits of facilitating with story.
- List strategies for mining your own life and experiences for relevant stories.
- Explain how to structure stories so that the intent is clear, the listeners are captivated, and the connection to the content is evident.
